... and thank you for taking the time to have a look around my website.I am a complementary therapist specialising in HypnoBirthing®, doula work, aromatherapy and massage based in Stoke Newington, London. I've been on my own healing journey for over ten years studying various disciplines and experiencing a wide range of therapies.
This was alongside a 13 year exhilarating and all consuming career in the music industry managing record producers and working with some of the most successful artists in the world. Having sought the help of an aromatherapist I quickly became intrigued and fascinated by the body-mind connection and how we can help ourselves on life's occasionally challenging journey.
I trained in Clinical Holistic Aromatherapy, Anatomy & Physiology and Therapeutic Massage in 2004 and amongst my most satisfying experiences was being able to use this training to help a friend through a much longed for pregnancy and birth. After attending the birth of her second son in 2008 I became very passionate about empowering women to achieve a satisfying birthing experience and trained with Middlesex University on the only University accredited Doula course in the UK. I have attended births in hospitals, at home, water births and a VBAC. Each is a unique, humbling, wonderful experience.
I now work full time as a doula, hypnobirthing practitioner and aromatherapist and also work voluntarily at the Homerton University Hospital on their hugely successful "birth buddies" programme which provides labour support for the local community.

I am continually looking to evolve as a therapist and add to my skills. Having been at a number of births where the mums have utilised the techniques learnt in HypnoBirthing I've been struck by how calm and relaxed both the mum and baby are. I am happy to announce I am now a certified HypnoBirthing Practitioner, trained by and registered with the HypnoBirthing Institute. I regularly run group classes in Stoke Newington, London N16 and am happy to arrange private classes at your home if you prefer.I am a member of the International Federation for Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA) and also hold an advanced certificate in aromatherapy and massage for pregnancy. I am fully insured with an advanced CRB check and adhere to the regulations laid down by the Data Protection Act, strictly maintaining confidentiality.
I am also a member of the National Council for Palliative Care advisory group and Cancer Policy Group. My work with the NCPC has led me to want to expand my doula work, not only for births but for those nearing end of life - also known as ThanaDoulas (Thana being the Greek word for death). It seems to me fitting to honour the end of life as well as the beginning... The true circle of life.
